About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,900 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated Esports Coach to lead and develop our STMA Community Education Esports program.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting students in an engaging and educational environment. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring young athletes is essential. Key duties include communicating effectively throughout the team, reviewing practice and match performance, and promoting sportsmanship and constant improvement. Prior gaming experience is great, but not necessary. Students will be between 8th-12th grade.
Start Date:
- Preseason begins November 10th
- Regular Season begins December 1st
Contract: Seasonal: Mid-November through Mid-March
Schedule: Typically 3-6 hours per week in the regular season. Work can be done from home systems. Only in-person duties will be March 13th-March 15th at St. Cloud State University.
FTE: 0.075-0.150 (3-6 hours per week)
Salary: $2,080 Stipend per season.
Benefits: No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching. Must have graduated from high school by the start of employment.
