Description
Atlassian Specialists at Moser Consulting play a crucial role in maximizing the functionality and efficiency of Atlassian products, especially Jira, for our clients. As experts in the architecture, design, implementation, and operation of these tools, they ensure that our clients can effectively manage their projects and workflows to achieve optimal performance and alignment with their business goals. Our specialists are recognized for their deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and ability to deliver tailored solutions that drive client success.
Requirements
- Independently manages full setup and customization of Jira projects.
- Designs and implements complex workflows, permission schemes, and screens.
- Integrates Atlassian tools with other third-party services to enhance client systems.
- Achieves Atlassian Certified Advanced Jira Administrator certification.
- Engages in specialized training for Confluence and other Atlassian tools to enhance integration capabilities.
- Regularly updates clients and internal teams on project status, ensuring transparency and alignment on deliverables.
- Serves as a bridge between technical teams and client stakeholders to translate complex technical details into actionable insights.
- Hosts workshops and training sessions for clients and internal users to ensure effective use of implemented Atlassian tools.
- Actively contributes to proposal development, specifically detailing how Atlassian tools can be configured and customized to meet client needs.
- Conducts detailed demonstrations of Atlassian products, showcasing their effectiveness and adaptability to prospective clients’ environments.
- Begins mentoring junior team members, sharing insights and techniques for effective use of Atlassian products.
- Writes about innovative uses of Atlassian products for internal newsletters or tech blogs.
- Manages small to medium-sized projects or teams, demonstrating leadership in project execution and team coordination.
- Work with stakeholders, Product Owners, and agile team members to develop and prioritize concise and testable epics, features, and user stories based on user needs, program strategy/roadmap, policy/program requirements, and hypothesized value as part of the development of healthy product or team backlog. Ensure backlog items are well-defined and ready for development and lead backlog refinement sessions.
- Engage closely with the Agile team, ensuring clear communication and successful execution of product requirements and acceptance criteria. Educate the team on requirements and business background to help ensure delivery of key outcomes. Support the testing and validation of user stories against acceptance criteria.
- Build programmatic and technical subject matter expertise through research and fact-finding to produce concise, accurate requirements and systems documentation. Maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is up to date with systems iteration and evolution.
- Establish an understanding of user needs, behaviors, and pain points, in addition to an understanding of overarching goals of the program, to build and guide product strategy and product requirements. Complete gap analyses to ensure requirements comprehensively solve business problems.
- Build a trusting, open, and communicative relationship with clients and stakeholders to effectively communicate and clarify requirements between stakeholders, including clients, development teams, and leadership.
- Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and align everyone towards shared goals and effectively define, refine, and execute product requirements. Recognize opportunities to improve collaboration and introduce new collaboration approaches / processes.

- Earns the Atlassian Certified System Administrator certification, focusing on complex system configurations.
- Pursues continuous learning on new Atlassian releases and cross-functional tool integrations.
- Leads cross-functional team meetings to drive strategic discussions on project integration and aligns Atlassian tooling with business processes.
- Facilitates conflict resolution sessions where project scopes or technical challenges arise, ensuring stakeholder needs are met and projects stay on track.
- Develops communication strategies to ensure seamless information flow between project teams, senior management, and clients on key milestones.
- Leads the technical portion of sales presentations, articulating the value proposition of Atlassian solutions in solving complex business challenges.
- Coordinates with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling case studies and testimonials that highlight successful implementations.
- Develops and leads mentoring programs, focusing on advanced Atlassian skills and certifications.
• Provides guidance on using tools and techniques effectively, supporting less experienced Atlassian Specialists in their professional development. - Speaks at industry conferences and publishes papers on advanced Atlassian topics.
- Leads large-scale projects and influences organizational strategies related to Atlassian product usage.
Where You'll Work
Moser has two offices in Indianapolis, IN, and one in Baltimore, MD. This position will allow remote or hybrid/onsite work.
Salary
