Position Duties

As a Project Manager, you are a strategic and detail-oriented project leader who excels at guiding complex capital initiatives from planning through construction. You combine technical expertise with strong communication and coordination skills, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, consultants, and contractors. Your ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule while navigating regulatory requirements and promoting inclusive practices ensures successful project delivery that meets both operational and community goals.

What you will do:

  • Manages assigned projects and supports the development of capital projects by identifying opportunities, analyzing project data, and preparing briefings for senior leadership.
  • Leads the consultant selection and delivery process, including RFQs, RFPs, evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversees design and construction phases to ensure alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and Massport standards, while resolving issues and maintaining quality.
  • Coordinates with internal departments and external agencies to secure approvals, engage stakeholders, and support community and regulatory processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in construction, architecture, or engineering.
  • Maintains registration as a Massachusetts Professional Engineer or Architect.
  • 10 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years managing large-scale capital projects.
  • Brings specialized experience in airfield design and construction, familiarity in FAA standards and public agency project management is desirable.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in project management tools and practices, with preferred experience in Lean Design & Construction, BIM/VDC or Civil CIM, and public bidding processes.
