The Opportunity
The dairy industry is growing more becoming more and more complex as farm dairy managers and owners face ongoing business management challenges. New technology, data management, and increased regulations mean they will be more dependent on partnering with subject matter experts for guidance and advice.
Dairy programs in post-secondary education institutions are preparing students in an academic setting to understand the core components of dairy science and the ag business. However, many students’ post-graduation miss the practical understanding of how these topics are applied on progressive dairies.

Through the Dairy Consulting Experience, you will learn what it means to be a successful consultant on the world’s most progressive dairies. You will engage directly with URUS’ experts and practitioners that influence hundreds of thousands of cows around the world. Through a mix of classroom and on-farm learning, you will learn how to understand and apply theories to real world challenges and get to know our passionate team of advisors and our businesses for future career opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in a dairy/animal science, ag business, or related field
- Experience in and passion for the agriculture industry and its future
- Willing to travel to Madison, WI January 5th – 9th to participate in hands on program at the URUS company headquarters
- All expenses will be paid by URUS.
- Global scope-Open to students currently enrolled in the disciplines listed above.
- Instruction will be in English
