Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Senior Industrial/Process Engineer with a strong background in cost estimating and process optimization to support quoting and lead continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations. This role will provide technical expertise, mentorship, and leadership in developing cost models, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring profitability across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Quoting & Estimating
- Develop detailed cost estimates for new and existing products, incorporating labor standards, materials, tooling, and overhead.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to prepare accurate, competitive customer quotes.
- Maintain and refine quoting standards, databases, and process assumptions.
- Compare quoted assumptions to actual production results, and adjust standards as needed.
Quoting & Estimating
- Lead time studies, workflow analyses, and labor utilization projects to drive process efficiency.
- Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs across departments.
- Direct cross-functional teams during new product launches, ensuring smooth transition from quoting to production.
- Evaluate and recommend advanced tooling, equipment, and automation strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Reporting & Strategic Impact
- Provide executive-level reporting on quoting accuracy, cost analysis, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop long-term strategies for cost competitiveness and operational efficiency.
- Document best practices and create standardized processes for quoting and industrial engineering activities.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering, cost estimating, or process optimization within manufacturing.
- Proven track record of leading projects, mentoring team members, and driving measurable process improvements.
- Advanced knowledge of time studies, cost modeling, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, cost estimating software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
