We are seeking a dedicated Kitting Manager  to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day workflows throughout the Material Service Center “MSC” Building.  This includes kitting parts for the assembly department as well as workflows within the MSC building that involve the orderly storing and staging of parts as needed within MPE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure all daily activities comply with MPE’s Quality Management Systems (QMS)  
  • Direct Kitting Supervisor and Material Service Center (MSC) personnel in their day-to-day activities.
  • Responsible for scheduling, staffing, orientation, training, and evaluation of MSC personnel.
  • Oversee daily kitting shipments to assembly and maintain both an on-time kitting and accuracy percentage of 95% or higher.
  • Assist with improving accuracy of completed kitting orders by managing process flow, understanding the dynamics of incoming parts and aligning kit assembly within MSC. 
  • Oversee and coordinate all work into and out of the MSC building including material transfers to and from the MPE Glenbrook Ct building.
  • Register arrival to stock location in 24 hours with >95% count and location accuracy.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management preferred

Experience and Training:

  • At least 10 years of manufacturing logistics, supply chain or related experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Current proficiency with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems  ________________________________________________________________________

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, read, computer use, and communicate 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Specific abilities include decision making and troubleshooting
