POSITION TITLE: Part-Time Instructor

LOCATION:  Adult Learning Center

The Sallisaw Adult Learning Center is committed to providing accessible and high-quality adult education programs that empower individuals to achieve their educational and career goals. We are seeking a positive and dedicated Part-Time Adult Education Instructor to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

As an Adult Education Instructor, you will play a vital role in facilitating engaging learning experiences for adult learners, helping them develop essential skills and knowledge. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction in various subjects, including but not limited to reading, writing, math, and computer literacy.

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma Teachers Certificate or a Master's Degree
• Experience working with adult learners, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in computer skills and educational software.
• A passion for helping others achieve their educational goals.

REPORTS TO:            Adult Education Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that meet the needs of adult learners.
• Provide individualized instruction and support to students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure program effectiveness.
• Stay current with best practices in adult education and instructional techniques.
• Contribute to the overall success of the adult education program.
