Job Description

• Performs all duties in a safe manner, being responsible for the safety of yourself and the employees around you
• Must comply with all MSHA, State, BAFTE regulations as well as any customer specific rules
• Completes task training on the safe operation of blast loading equipment
• Strong understanding and belief in Nelson Brothers safety philosophy and policies and practice and promote those policies
• Willing to travel, within the business unit, on short notice
• Willing to work overtime on short notice
• Must have excellent attendance
• Loads holes utilizing blast loading equipment including pumping units or any other equipment required at the specific operation
• Performs pre and post shift equipment inspections
• Performs minor routine maintenance on truck and equipment
• Operates skid steers, stem trucks or any other required equipment for blast area clean-up or hole stemming process
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Company

Operates Following Equipment:

• Pump Truck
• Skid steer
• Blast truck/pick-up (non DOT only)
• DeWater trucks

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BATFE clearance
• MSHA certified and current
• Other state/local licenses as required
  (example: Fire Marshall)
