Summary of Job Duties:

The 4-H Events/Activities Technician primary responsibility is to provide support to the 4-H Events Coordinator in reference to 4-H district, state, and national events/activities; along with supporting the 4-H online enrollment and registration system; and maintaining 4-H webpages and social media platforms.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in youth development or a related field is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication and writing skills;

  • Excellent proof-reading ability, strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, web research skills, strong time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously;

  • Possess excellent computer skills and competent in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;

  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information with the highest levels of discretion;

  • Excellent analytical skills:

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; must be self-motivated and directed with the ability to achieve measurable results;

  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and willingness to serve different audiences.

  • Able to solve problems independently and manage projects alone;

  • Good organizational skills, including basic filing, storage, and alphabetizing skills.

  • Knowledge and efficient with modern office methods including email and Microsoft Office products, i.e. Outlook, Excel, and Word;

  • Previous work experience with Extension 4-H Youth Development and/or Extension preferred.
