• Keep abreast of current theory, research and best practices in EL 
  • Attend/seek out professional development
  • Connect/network with EL organizations and colleagues
• Effectively consult and collaborate with school personnel and other professionals regarding student placement, materials, and instruction
  • Attend appropriate building-level meetings related to EL
  • Support classroom teachers who work with EL students
• Facilitate professional development
  • Help plan professional development sessions based on the needs of the district
  • Present and/or facilitate professional development sessions
• Establish instructional programming and provide direct instruction to students who are identified as needing EL support
  • Use district programs and protocols to provide instruction for students
  • Administer the LAS Links

• Communicate with parents and families 
  • Provide families with strategies and resources they can use at home
  • Share student data and progress toward goals

• Teaching Certification
• TESOL Preferred
• Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
  • Job requires working at different locations throughout the district; reliable transportation is desired

Pay and Benefits: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to traverse the classroom and adjust one's tone and height, by bending or leaning, in order to teach each child
