A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PASTRY COOK/CAKE DECORATOR:

As a Part-Time Pastry Cook and Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for scaling, production, and execution of pastry mixes, fillings, individual desserts, frozen desserts, cookies & bars, pies & cakes, doughs, and bread. In this role, you will understand the importance of time management, the quality of each dessert item, and your overall work ethic. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on production demands.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience
• ACF Certification is preferred but not required
• Must continue to expand culinary ability
• Must possess a sense of desire to satisfy members' requests
• Motivated to get the job done, no matter what obstacles appear
• Must be service-orientated, possess great attention to detail, and have a strong desire to succeed
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to spend long periods on your feet
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Reliable transportation
• Certification of culinary training or secondary-level education is preferred, but not required.
