We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Project Manager – Major Maintenance to join us in our Engineering & Project Delivery team in Perth on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Team Leader Major Maintenance Delivery, you will play a key role in providing senior level technical support & supervision during all project phases to ensure that Major Maintenance activities are executed to specified engineering standards & operational requirements within APA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management and technical support during all project phases.
- Project types include Gas Turbine & Compressor overhauls, Gas Engine Alternator overhauls, Water Bath Heater integrity inspections, Gas Storage Facility shutdowns, etc..
- Budget management, workpack development, HSEH compliance, contractor engagement and quality oversight
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide necessary technical support..
- Report on project status and developments to senior management.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives through all project stages.
Your background
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project management.
- Experience with Gas transmission assets preferred – Solar Turbine & compressor packages, Ariel Reciprocating compressors, Waukesha & Caterpillar gas engines or water bath heaters
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
- A commitment to safety and delivering quality work on time and on budget.

The Major Maintenance Delivery team exist to safely deliver key overhaul style maintenance activities for APA Gas West assets in an efficient and cost-effective manner to enable APA to achieve its business strategy and goals, extract maximum value from its assets, and deliver value for its customers.
