Role Overview:

We are looking for an exceptional Principal Solution Architect to spearhead technical excellence, client engagements, and business growth in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) domain, with a focus on Cloud, Data Engineering, AI/ML, and Advanced Analytics. This is a strategic leadership role requiring both visionary architecture design and hands-on technical depth.

You will play a critical role in designing transformative solutions, guiding technical delivery, building client trust, and driving the adoption of modern cloud and data technologies. This role requires mastery across Azure, Databricks, AWS, SAP integrations, and CPG-specific platforms, with the ability to lead large-scale enterprise programs while nurturing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities:

Technical Competency & Solution Excellence

• Provide technical leadership across Cloud, Data Engineering, AI/ML, and Advanced Analytics initiatives specific to the CPG industry.

• Architect and guide end-to-end solutions ensuring alignment with industry best practices, security standards, and client objectives.

• Drive adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies to improve solution quality, scalability, and delivery efficiency.

• Ensure seamless integration across platforms including Azure, AWS, Databricks, SAP, and CPG-specialized tools.

• Lead technical design sessions and decision-making forums, providing hands-on expertise when needed.

• Build reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference architectures to accelerate delivery.

Client Engagement & Business Growth

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance.

• Cultivate and grow long-term client relationships, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities, contributing to account growth and expansion.

• Lead pre-sales activities including solutioning, proposal creation, presentations, and building compelling value propositions tailored to client needs.

Strategic Planning & Expansion

• Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute growth strategies for existing and new markets.

• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and emerging technologies to maintain competitive positioning.

• Actively contribute to industry forums, thought leadership content, and knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Shape and influence the long-term technology roadmap for clients and internal teams.

Stakeholder Management & Satisfaction

• Serve as the primary escalation point for technical and delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication.

• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through regular engagement, feedback incorporation, and value delivery.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and foster transparent communication.

Program & Delivery Oversight

• Oversee end-to-end technical delivery ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Provide governance, technical mentorship, and oversight to delivery teams across global locations.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, promoting automation, optimization, and innovative solutioning.

• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards within all solution designs.

Qualifications

• Experience: 12–20 years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, and Technical Solutioning roles.

• Proven expertise in:

  • Object-oriented programming: Python, PySpark.

  • Azure ecosystem: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, HDInsight, Azure ML Services.

  • Integration with Databricks, AWS, SAP, and other enterprise-grade systems.

• Demonstrated experience in architecting and building advanced cloud-native, scalable, and secure solutions.

• Experience leading complex enterprise-level digital transformation programs, preferably in the CPG domain.

• Strong pre-sales experience: solution architecture, proposals, presentations, and client workshops.

• Proven ability to engage directly with client CXOs and senior stakeholders.

• Expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern engineering toolchains.

• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams and multicultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Databricks Certified Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and application of advanced analytics in CPG use cases.

• Prior consulting experience with global clients, preferably in Consumer Goods, Retail, or Manufacturing sectors.

• Exposure to DataOps, MLOps, and cloud security practices.

• Thought leadership: published white papers, blogs, or participation in industry events.

Pay: 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Up to $275,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a "free time" PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
