As a Mid-Senior Quantum Experimentalist at Alice & Bob, you will be at the frontline of our cutting-edge cat-qubit processors. In essence, your role will be to drive improvements and innovations of our processors to keep pushing the state-of-the-art with cat qubits. You will be in charge of measuring, characterizing, and optimizing our quantum circuits and gates using state-of-the-art techniques. You'll play a pivotal role in improving our experimental setup and tools, driving advancements that enhance the performance of our cat-qubit processors. You will have the opportunity to work together with other top-level teams internally and represent scientific research of the company externally. Your work will directly contribute to define the experimental roadmap of the company.
As a member of the Chip Design department, you will leverage your strong background in quantum mechanics to help us further optimize our cat qubits. You will improve our calibration processes, develop new simulation tools, and push the envelope of our current understanding.

Responsibilities
Measure, characterize in-depth, and fine tune quantum circuits and quantum gates.
Carry in-depth analysis of the data to improve theoretical models.
Drive new circuit / gate designs and measurement methods from ideas to experimental validation and integration in cat-qubit quantum processors
Contribute to the improvement of the experimental setups and tools.
Contribute to the expansion of the knowledge base of Alice & Bob and the continuous training of experimentalists.
Report on experimental results internally and externally.
Manage external collaborations.
Requirements:
We are looking for PhD or postdoc level scientists with 3+ years of experience of experimental work in quantum mechanics, preferably in the field of superconducting quantum circuits.
You should have strong skills in:
Microwave control and measurement of superconducting quantum circuits
Data analysis and comparison to theory or numerical simulations (preferably with Python)
Circuit design and simulation
Quantum gate design and benchmarking
Quantum error correction protocols
Scientific Writing
