We are seeking a Russian-speaking temporary staff member to support our ongoing caregiver hiring initiative. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping Russian-speaking caregivers join our team --many of whom will go on to serve Holocaust survivors and other older adults in our community. By bridging language and cultural barriers, you will ensure that candidates and their families experience a smooth, welcoming, and dignified onboarding process.This role will guide candidates through the entire hiring process from start to finish --from initial application and background clearance to attending orientation and beginning work. The position includes both in-person and virtual support, with travel throughout the Bay Area required, including occasional evenings/nights to assist with New Hire Orientation (NHO).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide verbal translation and explanation of onboarding steps to Russian-speaking candidates and family members.
- Assist with completion of application forms, employment documents, and onboarding materials.
- Guide candidates through scheduling, orientation, and all required compliance steps.
- Walk candidates through required background clearance steps, including Live Scan fingerprinting and TB test completion.
- Coordinate with HR, recruiters, and hiring managers to ensure timely movement through the onboarding process.
- Help identify and resolve language or process barriers that may delay onboarding.
- Assist and provide support during New Hire Orientation (NHO) sessions.
- Ensure a respectful, professional, and supportive experience for all candidates.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Russian and English (verbal and written).
- Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, HR, or related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to explain processes clearly and patiently.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple candidates' needs at once.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with defined timelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Data entry, reporting, and base formulas)
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively using Microsoft Teams and other digital tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Bay Area, including evenings, to support New Hire Orientation (NHO) sessions.
Schedule & Duration
- Temporary position: Approximately 2 months.
- Travel required throughout the Bay Area, including occasional evenings/nights to support New Hire Orientation (NHO).
Compensation
- $27 -33/hr
