Position Summary

The Manager, Special Events will coordinate and help execute all Special Events for the 14 Robbins Brothers stores. You will design, implement, and monitor the parallel alignment of vendor partnerships through customized special events, while assuring metric expectations are met / exceeded.

 

Reports to: VP, Merchandising

Location:     Los Angeles, CA preferred, Dallas or Houston, TX considered

Robbins Brothers offers a flexible work schedule that includes a combination of remote and on-site, as well as flexible hours.

 

 

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the VP of Merchandising, The Manager of Special Events is responsible for developing and executing customized events that strengthen Designer partnerships and drive business results. This role ensures that all event-related goals and performance metrics are consistently met or exceeded.

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and oversee special events across all locations.
  • Create and manage the special events calendar while piloting new event concepts.
  • Conduct checkpoints with General and Floor Managers to ensure store readiness, including providing weekly reports of scheduled appointments leading up to events.
  • Collaborate with the Special Events team to develop and launch innovative event ideas.
  • Provide training and knowledge-sharing to General Managers, Floor Managers, and Store Associates to ensure successful event execution.
  • Travel to stores to deliver on-site training, guidance, and operational support during events.
  • Monitor event performance and report key insights to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage designer leads by assigning them to stores and associates based on expertise.
  • Follow up on all special orders generated from events to ensure timely delivery and guest satisfaction.

 

 

 

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in event management, retail operations, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead training sessions and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support event execution at store locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with event management software is a plus.
