The Opportunity
Responsibilities of this career opportunity includes performing general office clerical and administrative support task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains, tracks and updates patient labs, diagnostic imaging and consultation reports in electronic medical record (eCW)
- Reviews incoming patient medical documents for accuracy
- Scans new and incoming medical records into eCW
- Tracks patient visits and maintains referral and standards of care alert spreadsheets
- Responds to inquiries and questions from patients and medical facilities
- Manages and protects information to patients, medical providers, law offices and Federal and State entities per release of information provided in accordance with HIPPA and Hitech Act laws and guidelines
- Filing duties
- Drafting correspondence
- Preparing monthly reports
Qualifications:
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma and two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Administrative Medical Assistant, or similar
OR
- A two (2) year degree in Medical Office Technology, Accounting, Medical Assistant Certification or similar job-related areas preferred
