Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This position will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, working collaboratively across the organization, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with all government statutory regulations.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Finance Business Partner on various aspects of the North American business
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and resolution of queries
  • Oversee the general ledger of the regional entities and maintain effective financial controls and policies
  • Partner with regional teams on annual budget planning and provide relevant inputs
  • Work on key financial areas and reporting including cash flow, fixed assets, and payroll
  • Audit accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Prepare working papers for direct and indirect tax reporting
  • Collaborate with colleagues and all levels of the organization to share information effectively
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and deliver ongoing benefits
  • Present a positive and professional image of the company in all contacts and relationships

What You Need to be Successful

  • Certified accountant or equivalent experience in a similar role for at least 3 years
  • Experience with accounting and financial systems, such as Hyperion or SYSPRO
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Previous experience in Distribution and/or Manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare reports, develop policies, and implement systems and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information and support others in accounting processes
  • Experience working across multiple time zones is desirable
  • Ability to travel to travel international upto 5%
