What You'll Do:

We’re looking for an Equity Analyst to join the Aligned Investors team. Aligned Investors has a very successful long-term track record running two US equity strategies with $68 billion in assets under management!

 

Aligned Investor's primary funds are the Principal MidCap Fund and Principal Blue Chip Fund. The Aligned investment process involves long-term ownership of high-quality businesses with competitive advantages that are led by owner-operators. The process relies completely on fundamental company research. Our team is made up of passionate analysts who all work to deliver outstanding returns for our clients over full market cycles.

 

You will have the opportunity to direct and conduct fundamental research on US companies, monitor portfolio holdings and make recommendations to the Portfolio Managers. More specifically you will be able to:

 

  • Conduct fundamental, primary research on individual companies.
  • Analyze the impact of competitive, economic and industry trends on specific investments.
  • Demonstrate a proven grasp of Aligned Investor’s investment philosophy by consistently incorporating it into the equity research process.
  • Provide leadership to more junior members of the team (if tenured in career).

This is a generalist position. Experience in any sector will be considered.

Who You Are:
  • 5+ years equity investment experience.
  • MBA with finance emphasis or Chartered Financial Analyst designation. If you don't have either of these, then you would need at least eight years of related experience.
  • Experienced at deep fundamental research on individual companies.

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Must be a self-starter and able to lead the equity research process.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of investments and an alignment in investment philosophy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with company management teams and industry experts.
  • Highly proficient at building and maintaining company models in Excel.
  • Willingness to travel to visit companies as well as attend conferences.
Salary Range Information:Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range:$174000 - $236000 / yearTime Off Program:Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible:NoAdditional Information:
