General Description
Responsible for the management of the escheatment process of unclaimed property to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze and research unclaimed property accounts on the system.
• Analyze and research outstanding checks per guidelines.
• Analyze and research existing balances in files and communicate with internal customers to resolve.
• Create and present deliverables to both internal teams and business units.
• Perform due diligence to determine if the owner can be located and paid.
• Reconcile and balance files detailing property to be reported.
• Prepares and remits the unclaimed property reports.
• Determine issues to escalate to management for review and direction.
• Assist claimants and holders on all unclaimed property accounts, answers owner and holder related questions via in person, telephone, or written correspondence.
• Investigate claims and reports findings of the inquiry via requested method.
• Creates and prepares correspondence to customers regarding inquiries, questions, additional documentation needed, procedures to follow, or any other information that needs to be relayed to them.
• Update statistics log daily. This log is reviewed by Management monthly.
• Assist with training of new team members.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Note: Related experience refers to the professional background related to the responsibilities and skills required for the position.
Experience
One to two years of related experience.
Additional Requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish, both at an advanced level.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain a professional, effective relationship with co-workers, claimants, holders, and service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to process, interpret and analyze financial and technical information to resolve problems in a quick paced environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly and easily to changing regulations, procedures and policies; and to perform tasks independently.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
• Ability to plan, organize, make decisions, set priorities, and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be available to temporarily relocate to New Jersey in case of an emergency to guarantee business operations continuity.

Work Schedule
Hybrid work schedule
Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Availability to work extended hours, holidays and weekends.
