Business at Davis is thriving! Sales are up, so we are actively seeking new team members to meet the continually growing demand. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BOM/Cost Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining Bill of Material (BOM) records, Routing Records, and Part Records, as well as supporting cost analysis activities. The ideal candidate is organized, highly detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enter, review, and manage BOM records, routing records, and part information from Product Development and Manufacturing
• Collect and input data from technical and non-technical sources (CAD models, vendor price lists, assembly instructions, engineering notes, emails).
• Estimate project costs for materials, labor, and overhead using estimates and historical data.
• Analyze actual vs. estimated costs, identify variances, and maintain data integrity in the ERP system.
• Support inventory management and purchasing records (e.g., verifying part costs, units of measure, price lists).
• Ensure accuracy of manufacturing jobs, part configurations, and job management records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing, accounting, engineering

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data entry, data analysis, or database management.
• Strong mathematics skills with the ability to apply formulas, analyze variances, and interpret numerical data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills 
• Understanding of data management (relational data structures, using data to solve problems).
• Technically inclined and willing to learn new software/tools.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently.
• Positive team attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and BOM structures.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD-related tools.
