Lakeside Hotel Casino is looking for an Assistant Executive Chef to help lead our culinary team. This role supports the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food standards, efficient service, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a leader with culinary experience, organizational skills, and a commitment to food safety and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing all culinary operations and food preparation areas
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff while ensuring proper scheduling
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety
- Ensure compliance with recipes, portions, and kitchen procedures
- Control costs and support efficient operations
- Assist with banquets, parties, and special events
- Promote and enforce safe work habits and equipment handling
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Culinary Arts degree preferred
- Prior supervisory experience in culinary operations
- ServSafe Certification (required)
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
