IT Project Manager/Business Analyst Overview

We are seeking a results-driven IT Project Manager with strong Business Analyst skills to serve as a bridge between our IT infrastructure, application development teams, and business stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who excels in facilitating collaboration, driving cross-functional alignment, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor delivery and business impact.

The successful candidate will lead IT initiatives across infrastructure and application portfolios, while also translating business needs into technical requirements, ensuring a smooth, effective, and transparent execution process.

Principal Accountabilities 

Project & Program Management

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure and software projects using hybrid methodologies (Agile/Waterfall as appropriate).
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Drive cross-departmental alignment to meet project goals and deliverables.

Business Analysis & Liaison

• Serve as the liaison between business users, application teams, and IT infrastructure teams, translating business requirements into functional and technical specs.
• Facilitate workshops, process reviews, and gap analyses to align stakeholders.
• Understand and document business processes to identify areas for improvement and automation.

Metrics, KPIs & Reporting

• Develop and maintain project dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to measure success, adoption, and value realization.
• Provide executive-level updates and insights based on data-driven performance indicators.

Communication & Change Enablement

• Ensure effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Act as a change agent to guide teams through process and technology changes.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, user readiness, and adoption planning.

Team & Culture Support

• Support smooth collaboration between Infrastructure, Applications, Cybersecurity, and Business teams.
• Proactively address friction points between teams to promote a culture of trust, delivery, and shared ownership.

Experience and Other Requirements

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Business Analysis, or hybrid PM/BA roles
• Proven experience managing both IT infrastructure and application development projects
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Experience with KPI definition and reporting using tools like Power BI, Excel, or similar
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)

Preferred:

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certifications
• Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or compliance-driven environments
• Understanding of cybersecurity, ERP, MES, or cloud migration initiatives
