Summary: The Electrician Leader is responsible for leading the electricians to ensure that tools are meeting the established standards and blueprints established by the customer expectations. They will act as a key liaison between departments, driving quality improvements, compliance, and operational excellence to effectively support the current business requirements and prepare the organization for growth.  

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as a specialist in the layout and installation of electrical components for tooling while ensuring proper function and compliance with electrical standards
  2. Execute tasks with a focus on optimizing time, cost efficiency, and functional performance
  3. Lead, motivate, mentor and develop a team of electricians
  4. Complete assigned tooling in accordance with work requirements utilizing; engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical manuals as needed Identify electrical problems, and recommend adjustments/repair work as necessary
  5. Identify/Diagnose electrical problems, and recommend adjustments/repair work as necessary
  6. Mark up engineering drawings as needed to indicate changes. Document and report changes to all necessary parties.
  7. Assure that the team follows procedures and best practices to minimize defects and improve product reliability.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive site performance metrics and assure on-time delivery to the established production schedule.
  9. Adhere to company policies and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  10. All other duties as assigned

Education & Skills Requirements:

  1. Electrician Journeyman Card or 8+ years electrical experience in a machine tool shop
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  3. Able to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to blueprints
  4. High regard for safety standards
  5. Knowledge of welding and automated assembly  
  6. Knowledge of Electrical Standards, tooling assembly & setup
  7. Effective leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
  8. Intermediate computer skills including MS Office suite and ERP systems
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills

Work Environment: This position operates in a plant and manufacturing environment.

Work type & Expected hours of work:  Regularly works on-site at local Paslin locations. This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. May be required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.

Travel: This position requires some out of town and overnight travel.
