About the Role:

Entry Level Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED required. Data entry experience required with knowledge of office equipment required.

 

1.  Must be able to see 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable).

2.  Must be able to continuously sit for approximately 7 hrs. per 8 hr. shift.

3. If recovering, must have at least 2 years of verifiable abstinence.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

Data entry duties as assigned by Business Office Manager.

 

Know and abide by the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2, “Confidentiality of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Patient Records”, and 45 CFR “Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.”  This position has unrestricted access to patient identifying information.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  1. Verify prior day’s census is correct, balance total census and detox numbers.
  2. Distribution of all computer generated reports on a daily basis.
  3. Coding and batching of all patient charges or data entry.
  4. Posting daily cash receipts on the cash receipt log, in the computer system and making the associated bank deposit.
  5. Weekly cash reconciliation between bank deposits and computer system postings.
  6. Reconciling monthly bank statement.
  7. Reimbursement of administrative checkbook when necessary.
  8. Input all invoices and/or employee expense reports into system for payment.
  9. Balancing all accounts payable, ensuring due date and general ledger account charged is correct.
  10. Ordering office supplies to ensure cost effectiveness.

   11. Insurance verifications.

   12. Accurately utilize company data base to key pertinent information regarding guarantors, insurance and financials.

   13. Maintain the patient’s financial folder with copies of the face sheet, admission forms, verification and pertinent releases and                             authorizations.

    14. Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients and prospective clients.

    15. Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.

    16. Regular attendance.

    17. Other duties as assigned.
