Provide support to teachers and staff in creating a safe, structured, and productive learning environment. Assist students individually and in small groups with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Support campus-wide initiatives designed to improve student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (required).
Some college coursework or associate degree preferred.
Experience working with adolescents in an educational or youth services setting preferred.
Ability to work well with diverse student populations.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Student Support
Provide direct support to students needing academic, behavioral, or emotional assistance.
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and other common areas as assigned.
Reinforce positive student behavior and campus expectations.
Support teachers by working with small groups or individual students on assigned tasks.
Instructional Support
Assist in preparation of instructional materials and classroom activities.
Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Support intervention and tutorial programs under the direction of teachers or specialists.
Campus & Administrative Support
Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with district policies and FERPA.
Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and recordkeeping related to student support services.
Participate in staff development and training programs as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to ensure campus and student success.
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds.
Work inside and outside; exposure to noise and occasional disruptive student behavior.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with district policy.
*Salary is commensurate with experience *Minimum Salary $20,645 * Please note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
