  Lee H. Kellogg School is a small, close-knit public school located in Falls Village, Connecticut, serving students in kindergarten through grade 8.   Position Summary
  The Principal provides instructional leadership, supervision, and administration of school operations to promote the success of every student. The successful candidate will be a visible, collaborative leader who inspires staff, students, and families and who embraces the community’s commitment to continuous growth and improvement.
  Key Responsibilities
  Leadership & Administration
  - Lead the school in alignment with Board of Education and district policies. 
- Oversee daily operations, including budget, scheduling, transportation, and facilities. 
- Maintain high standards of student conduct and ensure due process protections. 
- Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. 
Instructional Leadership
  - Promote high expectations and achievement for all students. 
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instruction. 
- Support teachers through supervision, feedback, and professional development. 
- Use data to inform instruction, interventions, and school improvement planning. 
School Culture & Community Engagement
  - Build and sustain a positive, inclusive school culture. 
- Foster strong partnerships with parents, families, and community organizations. 
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders about school goals and achievements. 
Personnel
  - Recruit, hire, and support high-quality staff. 
- Supervise and evaluate certified and noncertified staff. 
- Promote continuous professional growth and learning among staff members. 
- Implement contracts and ensure compliance with district and state requirements. 
Qualifications
  - Connecticut Intermediate Administrator (092) Certification required 
- Demonstrated instructional leadership and knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment 
- Proven ability to build relationships with students, staff, families, and the community 
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills 
- K–8 administrative experience preferred
