YOUR ROLE

 

We are looking for a Business Support Coordinator to join our friendly Event Logistics team at the NEC,  Birmingham! In this role, you will play an important part in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting the Event Logistics department with day-to-day administration and making sure everything stays on track. You will also provide general administrative support, including telephone cover and other operational assistance as required.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Business Support Manager you will:

  • Manage and oversee essential operational equipment, including systematic cataloguing and the coordination of check-in/check-out procedures, ensuring availability and accountability.
  • Administer and maintain system for events, including accurate input of tariffs and pricing data to guarantee consistency and integrity.
  • Support the setup of mobile offices for events, including preparation of equipment, stationery, and supplies.
  • Travel to event locations as required, assisting with on-site logistics such as traffic management and operational support.
  • Complete all administrative processes reporting any issues to the line manager.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls in a confident and professional manner, using initiative to resolve queries effectively.
  • Provide wider administrative support and ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

 

This role is primarily Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work weekends when events are scheduled.

Our ideal candidate will be a highly organised and proactive individual to provide support across our operational and administrative activities. You will be confident, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, delivering excellent support to both the team and external stakeholders. We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable, capable of working independently or collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to supporting the wider team wherever required.
