The Inventory Control Specialist(s) is responsible for all aspects of inventory control, accuracy, movement, and reconciling. The Inventory Control Specialist(s) will ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining accurate and efficient inventory workflow.

Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain inventory levels through the delivery of goods to internal and external customers using available ERP system when applicable to correct inventory discrepancies.
- Leads the daily cycle counting and the annual physical inventory process generally performed in December (either of which may include overtime, nights, and/or weekends).
- Assists with consolidating parts from multiple locations to one location.
- Assists with relocating parts if required to reduce mis-picking and for picking efficiency.
- Generate, maintain, and update stock locations.
- Compare incoming physical parts to receiving log/put away sheets for accuracy, ensuring there are no discrepancies.
- Implement the purge of stock recalled by OEM or product deemed out of date.
- Download data of parts and input into the computer database.
- Maintain ‘Alternate locations by warehouse and item.’
- Leads in projects that require separation piece parts and rework.
- Leads the process of investigating, resolving, and coordinating shipping and receiving discrepancies.
- Audits quantity to sales orders, bin location or warehouse management system to ensure accuracy of either on-hand, customer order or shipping quantity.
- Reports inventory variances relative to stocking, audited shipments, and bin locations
- Leads in reconciliation (root cause analysis) of inventory discrepancies.
- Submits adjustment requests as needed to correct discrepancies.
- Participates in upholding 6S standards.
- Performs any work deemed necessary in all areas of the warehouse as directed by Warehouse Operations Leads and/or Supervisors or Manager.
Competencies
- High school diploma or GED with 3-5 years of experience in inventory control; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous inventory control experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems
- Good verbal and written skills
- Ability to operate across various teams; excellent people skills are necessary.
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Willingness to respond to general inquiries or complaints with urgency via phone, email, or in person communication.
- Ability to effectively present information to leadership
- Ability to recognize inconsistencies and discrepancies.
- Ability to multitask and work through potentially stressful situations.
- Organized and process oriented.
- Excellent attention to detail and concern for accuracy
- Ability to operate lift trucks up to 10,000lb. capacity (specifically order pickers)
- Skilled in basic keyboarding.
- Ability to navigate through the appropriate computer or inventory applications, i.e., MS Office
- Products (especially Excel) and Order Processing Systems
- Ability to read and interpret Liebherr Employee Rules and Regulations, company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, production, and customer sales orders.
- Skilled in reading basic tools of measurements, i.e. tape measure, calipers etc.
- Knowledge of Metric and Standard Systems and conversions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
