Position Summary

The Girl Experience Coordinator plays a key role in empowering girls to explore their  strengths, take on new challenges, and make a positive impact in their communities through  the delivery of engaging and impactful Girl Scout programming. Under the direction of Girl Experience Manager, the Girl Experience Coordinator assists with packing and fulfillment of Badge in a Bag and Subscription Box, travels to facilitate events at program centers, and  provides on-site support for partner events and council-wide initiatives. The role supports  large-scale events, impacts curriculum development, and provides camper supervision  during the summer as needed. 


What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

  • Assist with large-scale council events such as rallies, celebrations, and bus trips ensuring smooth logistics and participant engagement.
  • Facilitate seasonal and thematic program Girl Scout events at various program  centers to support the National program portfolio, including STEM, Outdoors,  Entrepreneurship and Life Skills.
  • Support packing and fulfillment of Badge in a Bag and Subscription Box.
  • Provide on-site support for partner events across the council’s geographic area.
  • Impact the development of culturally appropriate event curriculum and program  materials.
  • Provide camper supervision and assistance during summer programming.
  • Support other council programs and initiatives as needed, including but not limited to  product sales, trip chaperones and open houses to ensure the successful execution  of council-wide goals.
  • Collaborate with staff, Girl Scouts, volunteers, families and partners to provide  relevant programming that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment.


Requirements

Who You Are and Keys to Success

  • High school diploma, high school equivalency or at least one year of customer  service experience required; associates degree preferred.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Ability to drive a small box truck or be trained upon hire.
  • Can work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours based on  events. Schedule varies based on program needs and seasonal events.
  • Experience working with youth and facilitating group activities.
  • Customer centric focus with ability to communicate in a friendly and professional  manner with a range of different people.
  • Collaborates with a diverse team and contributes to a supportive and fun environment.
  • Prioritize projects to meet deadlines through effective time management and  organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proactively and successfully solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Display high integrity and maintain confidentiality.
  • Work independently, show initiative, is flexible, and thrives in fast-paced everchanging environment.
  • Willingness to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and join as a  Girl Scout member, which includes paying a membership fee, either annually or as a  Lifetime Member.
  • Travel within the region and access to dependable transportation is required. A valid  driver’s license and use of your own vehicle are preferred. If so, you must comply  with the council’s automobile insurance policy limits and have a driving record that  meets the requirements of the council’s business auto insurance carrier. If you are  unable to drive, a transportation plan must be submitted and approved prior to an  official offer being made.
  • The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by  an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The  employee is required to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of  time, occasionally required to stand for long periods, and operate office  equipment manually. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
