Cocktail Server, Richmond Airport presso Delaware North

Overview:

Delaware North Travel is hiring full-time and part-time Cocktail Servers to join our team at Richmond Airport in Richmond, Virginia. As a Cocktail Server, you will use your knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails to serve a variety of drinks to guests while providing excellent service in every interaction.

Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

 

On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. Unit Description:

Serving fliers since 1987, Delaware North provides food and beverage services at Richmond International Airport. When travelers crave a coffee, snack, or full-course meal, we provide options to satisfy everyone's needs. Richmond International Airport is centrally located within Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region. Team members receive free daily lunch, free parking, and a set schedule. 

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, communicate drink specials, answer questions about available beverages, and take beverage orders
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
• Enter drink orders into the point-of-sale system; pick up drink orders and deliver to guests
• Observe and follow up with guests, ready to provide additional service
• Prepare and deliver the guest checks; accept and process payment, or direct guests to the cashier
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months’ previous related experience
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Possess basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names
• Basic math skills

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
• Ability to lift, balanc,e and carry trays, weighing up to 50 pounds
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills
