South Carolina Recovering Professional Program (RPP) is committed to protecting the public's safety through the early identification of impaired health professionals who need assistance and the return to safe practice through appropriate referral and effective monitoring, rehabilitation, and recovery.  SCRPP is a confidential referral and monitoring program designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists and other licensed health professionals in South Carolina with alcohol or substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, job related burnout, boundary issues, or any other mental related condition or disorder which has the potential to interfere with or impede the ability to safely and effectively treat patients.

 

A Compliance Coordinator will assist the Office Manager, Recovering Professional Coordinators, Program Director, and Medical Director with day-to-day program functions, operations, and monitoring services of the South Carolina Recovering Professionals Program (SCRPP). The incumbent must display a high level of professionalism, organization, and time management in their interaction with staff, our participants, our partners, referral sources, and the various licensing boards with whom they interact. 

 

Position Logistics:

  • 37.5 hours per week; routinely Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Schedule may adjust as necessary and flex time is available upon management approval.
  • Ability to work remotely with management approval upon successful completion of probationary period.

Minimum Education and/or Experience


  • Associate's degree plus two (2) years of experience conducting the essential duties of this role in an administrative, coordination, case management, or paralegal capacity OR
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience or education in the human services field is highly preferred
  • Experience in a high volume medical or behavioral health environment is highly preferred


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 

 

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
  • Provides direct assistance to the Office Manager, Recovering Professional Coordinators, Program Director, and Medical Director as needed.
  • Ability to adhere to confidentiality laws, CFR42 part 2, and use secure technology.
  • Responsible for the coordination of intake toxicology tests, pharmacy printouts, receiving, and uploading the results and reports in the case management system.
  • Responsible for the coordination of, sending requests for, ensure receipt, and uploading psychiatrists, therapist reports, and medical documentation received for medication exception requests.
  • Assist Office Manager with IRC documentation and Recovering Professional Coordinators with quality assurance documentation as well as ensuring the findings are in the file and communicated to the appropriate participants and staff.
  • Performs routine audits of files for complete documentation and contracts.
  • Anticipates in quality assurance and internal review meetings, when needed, and outcome evaluation processes.
  • Collaborates with agencies involved in the monitoring and provision of services for recovering professionals.
  • Assist with coordination of credentialing letters to employers.
  • Coordinate and disseminate voluntary participant list to Board of Nursing staff twice monthly.

 

 MARGINAL DUTIES (5%) includes the following:

 

  • Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
