Melbourne Grammar School is seeking an inspirational educational leader to join us as Head of Health and Physical Education, commencing in 2026.

The Head of Health and Physical Education is responsible for the academic program for both Physical Education and Personal Development from Year 7 to Year 12. This includes the development and maintenance of curriculum that drives a contemporary program, guided by our commitment to providing students with a holisitc education. As the Faculty Leader, you will steer an accomplished team of leading teachers and support them in their own growth and professional practice. 

 This is a permanent, full-time teaching position, with the Head of Health and PE role offered as a position of responsibility with a 5 year tenure.

You will be responsible for:

• Shaping and communicating a clear vision for the Health and PE Faculty that builds confidence, curiosity and teamwork capabilities
• Leading innovation and continuous improvement in Health and PE programs, ensuring they remain contemporary, challenging, and engaging for students of all abilities
• Guiding and supporting staff through collaboration, professional growth, and the development of effective learning pathways from Year 7 to VCE
• Fostering a culture of teamwork, open communication, and shared achievement within the Faculty
• Building an inclusive and vibrant community through co-curricular activities, events, and active engagement with staff, students, and families, ensuring the positive impact of physical activities and the lifelong skills it fosters are celebrated.

VIT Registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential for this position.
