38 Flexo Operator presso Smurfit Kappa North America

The primary function of the Production -- 38 Flexo Operator is to set-up the slotter, feed and die cut sections on the machine accurately according to instructions on the factory masters. This is a 2nd Shift position.

Primary Duties 

• Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures.  Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
• Set-up slotter, feed, print stations and die cut sections on machine accurately
• Machines category includes 50 Flexo, 38 2-Color Flexo, 38 3-Color Flexo, Hycorr, 802 Ward & 113 4-Color Die Cutter
• Ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured
• Check anilox rolls for damage before and after each run
• Assist operator in other duties
• Monitor board quality, including loose liner, warp, dimensions, caliper and any other defects
• Report any quality problems to the operator and sort as necessary to keep the machine running
• Work at pace set by the machine operator
• Cross-train on other machines as necessary
• Be willing to move up the line of progression to operator status regardless of shift
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Notify supervisor for needed repairs
• Regular and timely attendance required
• Follow LOTO procedures for machine/equipment
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
• May be assigned to other projects and duties
