LOCATION:  Lotus Court - 111 Pattison Street NE, Olympia WA

HOURS: Full time, 40 hours per week: Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM

PAY RANGE: $20.99-21.58 per hour

ACCOMMODATION: Studio unit - Rental rate of $50 per month. Must Pay utilities, Must live on site.

On-Site Staff

Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergencies on site, as needed, sometimes after hours.

• Respond to residents’ concerns and questions regarding the building.

• Inspect the building’s interior and exterior regularly. Inspect units annually; at time of turnover or as directed.

• Prepare vacant units including light maintenance, cleaning, and coordinating with vendors for re-rental in a timely manner.

• Document and record all work, purchases, travel, accidents, and any other related items in a timely, professional manner. 

• Maintain an inventory of basic maintenance/cleaning supplies. 

• Foster a clean and safe environment. 

• Responsible for detailed reporting and documenting all incidents and maintenance needs and operational issues in writing through the assigned platform/system, in a timely fashion (within 24 or 48 hours for non-emergent issues). 

• Engage with assigned training and comply with training deadlines.

• Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow PPE protocols.

• Reside at the site in a designated apartment. 

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years janitorial experience and light maintenance experience.

• General facility maintenance knowledge.

• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

• Experience working with a diverse population.

• Able to read, write and communicate in English.

• Must reside at the site in a designated apartment and pay rent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willing to make a one-year commitment.

• Experience working with low-income people.

Other Requirements:

• Must pass criminal background checks and drug screening test.
