Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for In Process Inspector (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.


Position Summary:  In Process inspection is responsible for inspection of product prior to, during, after a process operation.  This position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to read and understand technical requirements of the traveler and blueprint.

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of three (3) years’ in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Read, understand, and interpret travelers and drawings provided to assess requirements and special instructions required for jobs.
  2. Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications and for conformity to specified standards.
  3. Inspection of panels under microscope and/or halo lamp as required.
  4. Touch up & inspection of panels after develop prior to plating.
  5. Touch up & inspection of panels after plating prior to etching.
  6. Touch up & inspection of panels after LPI developing prior to bake cycles.
  7. Compares size and location of holes to verify conformance to specifications using pin gauge.
  8. Views inside of holes to detect voids or irregular surfaces.
  9. Identifies non-conforming product and requests disposition from Manager and/or lead.
  10. Perform other department or company-related tasks at the direction of the department Manager.

   

Education/Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Three (3) years industry experience

 

Physical Demands:

  1. Required to sit for long periods of time. 
  2. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and using microscope.
  4. Must have very good concentration, must be able remain focused with interruptions.
