Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Travel Position
Location: Aspen, CO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Rotating
Pay: $2,627/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Aspen, CO. The Med Surg Nurse will care for patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions, providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage diverse patient needs across rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care including assessments, vital sign monitoring, and administration of treatments.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies safely and accurately.
- Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Colorado (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts while delivering consistent, high-quality care.
