A little about this role:  

The Learning and Development Specialist will design and deliver training programs on a wide variety of topics that enhance employee skills, reinforce the company’s culture and industry expertise, and support manager development. This role ensures learning experiences are relevant, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals. 

A day in the life:

  • Training Delivery – Develop, organize, and lead both remote and in-person training sessions for new and existing employees, keeping our company culture and values in mind. Trainings will cover a wide range of topics including industry expertise, protocols/compliance, as well as technical skills such as:
    1. Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, OneDrive for Business)
    2. Operating systems (Windows 11)
    3. Web portals (Concur, ADP)
    4. Mobile platforms (Android, iOS)
    5. PRESENCE Systems (IDA, SARA, TOM, etc.)
    6. Ad Hoc Trainings
  • Identifying Needs – You will be responsible for actively identify training needs within the organization through a variety of methods, including meetings with managers and executives, conducting surveys, hosting calls, and collecting verbal and written feedback from users.
  • Creating Materials – You are responsible for creating clear, professional training materials and presentations. You will input and manage this content in our Learning & Development platform (360Learning) to ensure accessibility and ongoing relevance. You will be responsible for ensuring content is up to date in the system. 
  • Leadership Training Coordination – Collaborate with HR and leadership to support the development of current and future leaders by coordinating external training opportunities. Manage course logistics, track participation, and ensure programs deliver value to both individuals and the organization.
  • Presenting – You will lead interactive training sessions that are clear, engaging, and tailored to diverse audiences. Adapt delivery style to meet the needs of employees at all levels, ensuring participation, understanding, and practical application of the material.
  • Communication is key – You are expected to have value-added, solution-oriented, positive and timely communication (both internally and externally).  This dynamic position requires working in partnership with all departments.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware and software of a variety of types, form-factors, and from a wide range of manufacturers, including, but not limited to: Microsoft, Lenovo, Dell, Samsung, Apple, and Logitech
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong skills in creating and organizing training content
  • Ability to create professional training materials and manage content within learning systems such as 360Learning
  • Experience with AI systems such as ChatGPT, Genially, and others preferred
  • Experience facilitating engaging presentations and training sessions for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of Concur and ADP, with the ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Dependable, extroverted, diplomatic person, able to problem-solve successfully with a wide variety of people and issues
  • Knowledge and interest of the natural products/brands and retail landscape is a plus
  • Flexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude 
  • Strong selling skills - negotiation, presentation and public speaking
  • Ability to manage time and deadlines
