Description: As a Hub Cut Out/Weld/Re-lip operator, your main focus is to inspect quality of the hub and determine whether it will need to be replaced. In this role, when hubs are determine to be replaced, a new hub will need to be welded in place. Re-lip is also an integral part of this role.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Run lathe to cut out hubs.
- Weld in hubs by machine
- Identify hubs, weld in hubs for specific converters.
- **Leak test - May be required
- Tig Weld as needed
- Must be able to identify parts and read calipers and gauges.
- Make go/no go decisions.
- Must be able to lift up 5 -35 lbs. frequently
- Must meet safety, production and quality requirements.
- Must perform all other duties as assigned
Safety Requirements:
- See attached PPE requirements
Quality Accountability:
- Proper hub is crucial
- The weld placement is also key
- Dimensions will need to be correct for height
Physical Demands:
- Standing, lifting, twisting, bending
- Lifting up to 35+ lbs. repetitively
- Lifting parts above shoulders- seldom
- Fast pace and repetitive
Training Requirements:
- Must be willing to be trained and audited for safety, quality and production
