Location: Mile Bluff Clinic - Mauston, WI
Schedules Available:
- Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; scheduled between 7:00am-5:00pm
- Part-time 1, 48 hours per pay period; scheduled between 7:00am-5:00pm
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: No holidays
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after care; make sure their needs have been met in a timely, efficient, and caring manor.
- Room patients for their appointments.
- Assist with procedures, dressing changes, DME supplies, etc.
- Clean and stock rooms.
- Chart prep and paperwork, including prior authorizations, FMLA, CMN forms, etc.
- Triage and set up extra care at other facilities for the patients.
- Obtain lab specimens, perform lab competencies and quality controls on a regular basis; perform lab tests run at the clinic.
- Start IVs, change catheters, perform wound care, etc.
- Attend daily huddles, monthly PCS meetings, monthly clinic meetings, CCM and RWHC meetings, etc.
- Travel to other MBMC clinics and Pods to cover as needed.
- Assist with patient education upon provider request.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
- Current BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months.
- 1+ years of related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required
- Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners, EKG, etc.
- Thorough understanding of triage.
- Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
