Our Capital Works Section have a unique opportunity to provide leadership and direction to the Civil Infrastructure Delivery Unit through the management of a team of technical professionals, spanning across Project Management, Design, and Surveying.
Whilst your experience will demonstrate a strong understanding and broad reach across the technical field of Program Delivery, this role has a strong focus around your strategic leadership skills in providing direction to your team within the Civil Infrastructure Delivery Unit, comprising of 3 direct reports across the Civil Projects, Survey, and Design teams.
You will report to the Capital Works Section Manager, and have independence in managing the civil infrastructure capital works budget including reporting, improvement and providing corrective actions.
- This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time working 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $117,660 to $138,428 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $19,364 motor vehicle allowance + $2,464 retention allowance + civil liability allowance
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

- Coordinating the development, planning, project management, surveying, designing and delivery of Council's civil infrastructure capital works program in accordance with planning legislation, accepted industry standards, specifications and other client and customer requirements
- Development of major projects with clients and their external customers and stakeholders to a variety of site, planning and financial constraints
- Leadership, supervision, mentoring and coaching of the Civil Projects Unit, comprising of 3 teams of approximately 25 staff.
Please Note: For the purpose of recruitment, the title of Civil Programs Director has been used to reflect the equivalent industry title. Internally the official title of this position is Program Manager – Civil Infrastructure.
