MBL Technologies is seeking an IT Project Manager Collaboration Systems SharePoint to support a federal contract. This role is mostly remote; however, it will require occasional onsite meetings in the Arlington area. With no travel reimbursements allocated. This role is contingent based on contract award. 


The IT Project Manager – Collaboration Systems (SharePoint) is responsible for managing projects and services within FDIC’s enterprise collaboration environment. This role oversees the planning, implementation, and optimization of SharePoint systems, ensuring security, compliance, and high-quality service delivery. The IT Project Manager will act as a liaison between stakeholders, IT process owners, and the collaboration implementation team, ensuring that collaboration technologies align with business needs, compliance requirements, and organizational goals. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of collaboration services to customers.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SharePoint systems.
  • Administer, secure, and monitor SharePoint sites and sub-sites.
  • Manage system security, patching, and upgrades to ensure compliance.
  • Review SharePoint usage reports and ensure optimal performance.
  • Document SharePoint site configurations, site architecture, and management procedures. 
  • Train employees on SharePoint application usage and provide end-user support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint.
  • Provide ongoing system optimization and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Conduct audits of IT programs and projects utilizing the collaboration environment.
  • Develop methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts.
  • Perform needs analysis to identify opportunities for new or improved business process solutions.
  • Provide recommendations on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
  • Support project implementation and technology upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
  • Gather feedback on customer satisfaction and internal performance for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other service managers and product owners to prioritize collaboration services.
  • Review service performance reports, identify issues, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proficiency in administering, configuring, and managing SharePoint environments.
  • Six + years of relevant SharePoint experience.
  • BS/BA in a cyber-related field (direct experience or certifications may substitute for academic credentials). 
  • Proficiency in administering, configuring, and managing SharePoint environments.
  • Skilled in identifying system performance indicators and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to track, translate, and prioritize information needs across SharePoint environments.
  • Experience using SharePoint knowledge objects and managing user roles/authentication.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within collaboration environments.

Required Abilities:

  • Ability to develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation editing skills.
  • Ability to function collaboratively with internal and external experts to solve problems.
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to collaboration environments.
  • Ability to evaluate and validate technical information for accuracy and relevance.

Required Knowledge:

  • Security Impact Assessment methodologies and risk management processes.
  • SharePoint architecture, administration, and governance best practices.
  • NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Cybersecurity and privacy principles, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Risk management processes and threat/vulnerability assessments.
  • ITIL service management concepts and process maturity models (e.g., CMMI).
  • Cloud-based knowledge management technologies.
  • Laws, regulations, and standards related to cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS, PII data security standards).
  • Encryption methodologies and defense-in-depth principles.
  • Cyber-attack stages and incident response roles/responsibilities.
  • System lifecycle management principles, including usability and software security.
