Duties
You will evaluate complaints received in order to determine if the complaint is a request for Inspector General (IG) Assistance, is a complaint of wrongdoing requiring investigation.,You will assist in the planning, directing and development of supplemental guidance, concerning policy directives and instructions pertaining to Inspector General Investigation and Assistance.,You will analyze and review various data sources to determine potential trends in fraud, waste, mismanagement, and misconduct within the installation.,You will recommend action in matters pertaining to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement to improve program effectiveness.,You will prepare reports and findings and develop briefings or executive summaries for presentation.,You will serve as a planner, member of Command Inspector General (CIG) inspection teams and inspection result analyst.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting investigations, inspections, and congressional inquiries for fraud, waste, mismanagement, misconduct, violation of law, regulations, and policies. . Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Education level preferred will be a bachelor's degree with 4 years of related IG work. You will must remain current in professional development and possess the required DCIG credentials issued by the CG. IGMC requires all CIGs and ACIGs to attend one professional development class or symposium yearly to remain credentialed as a CIG or ACIG. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
