Overall Purpose of the Position

The ESG Director will lead AOS's Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy with the goal of enhancing our ESG performance, meeting evolving customer expectations, and aligning with best practices in corporate responsibility. This role will drive initiatives to strengthen AOS's ESG roadmap, ensure effective implementation across business units, and position the company as a leader among peers in sustainability and corporate citizenship.

Primary Job Responsibilities

The ESG Director will be responsible for:

  1. Strategy Development - Design, propose, and secure management approval of AOS's ESG roadmap, aligning business priorities with ESG objectives.
  2. Program Leadership - Coordinate and oversee the implementation of ESG projects across multiple corporate sites, ensuring consistent progress and measurable outcomes.
  3. Customer Engagement - Partner with Sales to manage and organize timely, accurate responses to customer ESG inquiries, audits, and surveys.
  4. Supply Chain Compliance - Collaborate with Purchasing to drive ESG compliance and improvements across the supply chain, including supplier evaluations and engagement.
  5. Management Systems - Contribute to the design, development, and rollout of ESG management systems, tools, and reporting processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in ESG, corporate sustainability, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD).
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects across global or multi-site operations.
  • Experience engaging with customers and supply chains on ESG topics.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in Mandarin
  • This position requires quarterly domestic and international travel to company sites, supplier locations, and industry events.
