You’ll be the driving energy behind our Food & Fund Drives, turning community generosity into real impact. From setting goals and building buzz to managing virtual donation platforms and stewarding donors—you’ll make giving easy, fun and unforgettable.
You’ll also be our event architect, designing and executing fundraising events, awareness campaigns and community programs that inspire action. Think imaginative themes, seamless logistics and unforgettable moments.
And behind the scenes? You’ll keep everything running smoothly with top-notch communication, data tracking and donor follow-up that makes every supporter feel like a VIP.
A Day in the Life
Food & Fund Drives:
- Manage all aspects of food & fund drives.
- Help define annual drive goals, strategies, timelines, budget, promotions and stewardship opportunities.
- Manage a virtual food drive web-based environment to capture financial donations.
- Represents the Regional Food Bank while doing community outreach for food & fund drives.
- Communicate with event partners (restaurants, donors, attendees, etc.) to ensure all needs are being met.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails.
- Reply to requests for food & fund drives.
- Initiate telephone contacts related to drives and give appropriate follow-up and donor stewardship.
Internal Partnerships:
- Coordinate with internal departments to make sure all event needs are met, including:
- Work directly with operations team for food drive details such as supplies and trailer/food placement/pick-ups.
- Partner with marketing & communications for event promotion and wrap-up.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Organize and run fundraising events, community programs and awareness campaigns.
- Create event ideas, budgets and timelines that match organizational goals.
- Develop project plans for events and ensure event tasks are executed.
- Manage details such as selecting a site, arranging food and setting up technology.
- Build relationships with vendors to make the best selection focused on quality and cost.
- Manage event promotion and strategy.
- Design materials and presentations for events.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain food drive log to track and communicate food drive results with Regional Food Bank departments.
- Examines data to identify opportunities for financial donor cultivation and food drive growth year-over-year.
- Prepare event thank-you letters, payment reminders and other post-event tasks.
- Assist with donor gift acknowledgements.
- Return mail processing.
- Field donor phone calls.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
How you have spent your time:
- Obtaining an associate degree or working for at least 2 years in event planning or a relevant field.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
How you have spent your time:
- Obtaining a bachelor’s degree or working for at least 4 years in event planning or a relevant field.
Your Environment
Environmentally controlled with no exposure to extreme changes in the weather, and limited exposure to humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. No exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise and/or vibrations. Work generally performed in an office environment. Travel may be required for assignments, meetings and training. Weekend and/or holiday hours may be required.
Physical Demands
The company will provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities. Utilize multi-limb coordination and flexibility combined with control precision to perform fine motor skills including: finger manipulation, grasping, feeling, arm-hand steadiness, in order to push, pull or lift objects. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Utilizes multi-limb coordination to balance on even surfaces, stoop, kneel, stand, and walk, reach over shoulders or below the knees. Must employ the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
