Description
The Holiday Decor Lead is responsible for managing a small team of 3–6 individuals while working alongside an Event Designer to prep, pull, decorate, and install seasonal holiday décor. This role plays a key part in ensuring that each holiday installation meets company design standards, runs efficiently, and exceeds client expectations. The Holiday Decor Lead enforces rules and professionalism within the team, maintains high morale, and provides organizational leadership during installations.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong organizational skills, clear communication, punctuality, and the ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments. Leads will also be responsible for driving box trucks/large vans to transport décor safely to and from installation sites. There will be 4 Holiday Decor Leads hired for the season, each working with the Events Manager to supervise installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Management
- Supervise, motivate, and support a team of 3–6 seasonal staff.
- Enforce professionalism, company policies, and punctuality.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Operations & Installations
- Partner with Event Designers to prep, pull, stage, install, and strike seasonal décor.
- Manage team efficiency, organization, and time on-site.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure décor meets design standards.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and décor inventory.
- Drive and operate box trucks/large vans to transport décor to and from client locations.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between the design, sales, and management teams during installs.
- Communicate goals, standards, and timelines clearly to the team.
- Provide feedback on installation outcomes and suggest improvements.
- Maintain professionalism with clients, vendors, and team members on-site.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of experience in event production, décor installation, team leadership, or a related field (e.g., visual merchandising, set design, staging, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to lead teams under tight deadlines.
- Clear and confident communication skills; capable of giving direction and motivating others.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional with strong leadership presence.
- Comfortable enforcing rules, giving feedback, and holding team members accountable.
- Quick problem-solver who can adapt to changing conditions on-site.
- Able to safely drive and operate box trucks or large vans.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physically able to lift 40–60 lbs, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and stay on feet for long periods.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and long hours during peak season (Oct–Jan).
- Comfortable working outdoors and in cold conditions when needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; helpful for team communication and client interaction.
- This is a smoke-free workplace; adherence to company policy is required during working hours.
