The HR Generalist at Inglis House supports the full range of human resources functions, including employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, HR compliance, and workforce development. This position plays a critical role in fostering an inclusive, person-centered work environment and is a key partner in advancing Inglis’ mission of enabling people with disabilities – and those who care for them – to achieve their goals and live life to the fullest.

What You'll Do:

Employee & Labor Relations 

  • Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee rights. 
  • Support the grievance and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR leadership and union representatives. 
  • Participate in investigations and resolve employee concerns with fairness and compliance. 
  • Partners with Director People & Culture to counsel IH Leaders, employees concerning interpretation of HR Policies and CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) while making sound and consistent recommendations.?? 

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding 

  •  Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and hire managers to post jobs, screen candidates, and schedule interviews Assist with the pre-employment and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth, positive experience for new hires. 
  • Support inclusive hiring initiatives and ensure adherence to EEO guidelines. 
  • Counsels IH Hiring Managers on the HR Recruiting process y while supporting the onboarding of new hires during 30,60,90 Day Check In’s.?? 
  • Plays a pivotal role in planning and coordinating Nursing New Hire Orientation while ensuring a good new hire experience.?? 
  • Supports HR in coordinating and attending HR Recruiting events (Job Fairs, Community Based Events,  to attract, motivate and retain candidates while upholding fiscal responsibility.?? 

Employee Experience & Engagement 

  •  Support the design and implementation of engagement and appreciation initiatives, including employee events and recognition programs. 
  • Promote Inglis’ values of integrity, communication, inclusion, and collaboration in all engagement efforts. 

 

What We're Looking For: 

BA/BS preferred in Human Resources or related field or 3 plus years of progressive experience in Human Resources.?
SHRM- CP or SCP preferred.??
3+ years of experience with recruiting??
Successful experience partnering and relationship building with management and staffing agencies??
Adaptable and creative in professional environments??
Must be technologically savvy with a working knowledge of HRIS systems, Kronos and Office 365 applications.??
Strong project management skillsets and understanding that learning and training is one of constant change.??
Strong work ethic, integrity and commitment to the Inglis vision and mission.??
Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource Principles and guidelines.? Excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.??
Preferred industry experience – Non-profit, Nursing Homes, Healthcare.

 

Pay Rate for this Role: $55k-$65k/ annually
