Work Schedule:

LPN Salary Ranges: $25.08 - $37.63

RN Salary Ranges: $35.70 - $53.54

Job Responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Rooms patients, collects and documents medical data, and assists with physical exams
  • Processes patient situations by telephone or portal to determine appropriate medical attention.
  • Processes patient paperwork as needed. Processes prescription refills and medication authorizations.
  • Conducts testing which may include but is not limited to: spirometry, INRs, EKGs, home sleep tests, and point-of-care testing (involving blood, urine, swabs, etc.). Records testing and coordinates communication of results with the provider.
  • Within the IH policies and procedures makes decisions regarding sanitization techniques, patient access and scheduling parameters, procedure set-up and universal precautions.
  • Follows the instruction and delegation of clinic leadership to support an optimal care experience for the patient.
  • Coordinates patient care including obtaining insurance authorizations, scheduling, and follow up.
  • Provides patient education and stocks supplies and medical literature regarding a variety of medical topics.
  • Manages room and patient flow, informs provider of schedule changes.
  • Assists in various medical procedures within established scope of license.
  • May perform additional duties within scope to support efficient operations of the Clinic.
  • Ensures strict adherence to confidentiality policies and HIPAA guidelines.

RN Job Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited registered nurse program

  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the WA Department of Health.

  • Two years’ experience in an ambulatory setting within the last five years.

  • Must maintain active BLS certification.

LPN Job Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of previous clinical experience in an out-patient Physician practice preferred.
  • Must maintain current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the WA Department of Health.
  • Must maintain current BLS certification.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.  The employee may be exposed to dust, pollens, pollutants, fumes and communicable diseases as related to a health care environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, and have hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone. The employee is often required to sit for potentially long periods of time throughout the workday. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arm. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus sufficient to operate computer systems.
