Job Summary and Job Functions
- Performing all necessary custodial duties throughout all Britten facilities
- Maintain floors in all areas through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning
- Cleaning and restocking restrooms, common areas, and break rooms
- Perform basic custodial equipment care and routine maintenance to ensure they are safe, clean and sanitary
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport to designated disposal areas
- Support seasonal maintenance and special projects
- Ensure proper care and use of supplies and equipment
- Ensure entrances and loading areas are regularly cleaned and free of hazards
- Collaborate with other facilities team members to complete tasks efficiently

Requirements
- High school diploma, janitorial/cleaning experience
- Ability to safely operate custodial equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and auto-scrubbers
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their safe handling, and proper application
- Must have the ability to take on tasks and complete them without direct supervision
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the entire facility team
- Ability to follow safety protocols when using ladders, lifts, or other custodial support equipment
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with several buildings
- Ability to take ownership of duties and implement improvements where needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time
- Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation
