About the Role:
- Status: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:15 AM and 5:00 PM depending on clinic volume (early closure on Fridays).
- Location: On-site at our clinic
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position based at our clinic, offering a collaborative and patient-focused work environment. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our surgeons during clinic hours, ensuring high-quality care for our patients. We are looking for a team player! Someone who is fun but can get the necessary work done in an efficient manner with minimal errors. Someone who likes to interact with patients, is friendly and task oriented. *Knowledge of medications and medical terminology is a must. Experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred.
Attendance and punctuality are vital to this role.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and intake patients with professionalism and care
- Review and document patient clinical history, medications, and allergies
- Obtain and record patient vital signs accurately
- Perform accurate charting and order entry in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
- Conduct telephone triage to address patient inquiries efficiently
- Assist with patient callbacks to ensure follow-up care
- Manage prescription refills and authorizations in compliance with protocols
- Must be physically present for position.
- Regular scheduled attendance is an essential job function
- May require long periods of sitting or standing and walking
- Must be able to effectively communicate with team members.
